Business Description

Masonry takes good men and makes them better.

The major task of Masonry is to provide a setting and context in which men can seek their own spiritual development. Masons engage in a program for personal growth. A person usually joins Masonry because he feels that there is something more in life that he is missing. Masonry stresses a process of self-control and self-discovery. The rituals are used to teach the basic lessons of human duty and responsibility, including duty to ones faith, ones country, ones community, ones family and oneself.

But Masonry also has objectives in the world. No person of integrity can be truly happy when those around him are in sorrow and suffering. No one can rest comfortably when he knows that want and need surround him. You may have heard of the many charitable causes Masons contribute such as the Shriners, but here are some other charitable causes we do locally.

Wreaths Across America -

REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Thank you for visiting the MO0147P - Kearney Masonic Lodge #311's Wreaths Across America Pagehttps://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/MO0147P.

On December 16, 2023 at 11:00 am (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), MO0147P - Kearney Masonic Lodge #311 will be helping Fairview Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Thank you so much for supporting the MO0147P - Kearney Masonic Lodge #311 and Wreaths Across America!

Creating-A-Partnership The CAP Program provides matching funds for Lodges to help children in need within their communities. There are two types of donations that qualify for CAP funding: Individual Child/Children that have been identified through schools or other local organizations to help provide items like school supplies, coats, shoes, hygiene items and glasses. The second type is Project-Based. This is where we identify a project within the community where the recipient must be a 501(c)(3) as defined by the IRS or a public entity, such as a school. Funds can be used for projects like a backpack food program (The matching funds must go toward the purchase of childrens items, such as food or backpacks). The Masonic Home will not match funds for general operating expenses and is not intended to be used as a Thanksgiving or Christmas program. We have the opportunity each year for our Lodge to have a maximum of $10,000 matched for a total of $20,000 to our community. At times they even increase the 1-1 match and the $10,000 maximum. During COVID-19, the match and limit increased to 3-1 and $15,000 creating an opportunity for every lodge and chapter in the State of Missouri to donate $45,000 to the needs of children in their communities! Please contact us if you know of any children or have a project-based idea we can help out.

MoCHIP - MoCHIP is a comprehensive child identification program designed to give Missouri families a measure of protection against the ever increasing problem of missing and abducted children. MoCHIP stands for MissOuri CHild Identification and Protection Program. The program uses an Amber Alert compatible computer disc to provide their childs critical information to the parents. Microchips are NOT used in the program. The parent is armed with a single pre-printed envelope that instructs authorities in the event of an emergency, something a parent in crisis would undoubtedly have trouble with, and a proactive measure to combat the time sensitivity involved in recovery. Within a matter of minutes the MoCHIP CD can be loaded into a computer directly from a police officers automobile and entered into the Amber Alert system. Help us by hosting a MoChip event or become a volunteer and work events with us. We are always looking for motivated individuals from high school age through retirement age and computer skills are helpful but not necessary! High schoolers looking for community service hours, we qualify and will supply necessary documentation!
