Ribbon Cutting Celebration Date: Friday, July 18, 2025 Time: 4:30 pm Location: 307 S Jefferson St, Kearney We’re thrilled to invite you to a Ribbon-Cutting event celebrating the opening of Spark Academy. Followed by the Spark Academy Open House & Brixology event at 5pm.

Open House (for the parents): 5-7pm
Is your child ready to dive into hands-on projects, explore cutting-edge technology, and unleash their creativity? At Spark Academy, we go beyond the classroom to offer engaging activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. From robotics and coding to design challenges and artistic expression, our Spark Innovators After-School program fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration in a fun and supportive environment. Come see what makes Spark Academy shine! Meet our passionate leaders, explore student projects, and learn how your child can ignite their potential with us.
Brixology (for youth grades 6-9): 5-6pm
Launch your imagination to new heights as you explore aerospace engineering! Discover the secrets of working in space- efficiency and compact design. Create a trussed space station module, then connect it with other to create a massive modular spacecraft!
Spots for Brixology are limited to the first 20 students.

Calling all awesome Kearney teens! Want a fun job where you can hang out with your peers, make a difference and earn some cash?
KEC Spark Program is hiring energetic and responsible high schoolers to join our team! You’ll get to lead activities, be a role model for younger youth, and contribute to a positive and fun afterschool environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience, build leadership skills, and make a real impact right here in Kearney. Plus, it looks great on a resume!
